CWA Write Up - 3 Panles

Panel One: Do Your Brain A Favor and Spend Time Outdoors

The main theme of this panel, is by spending time outside, your brain will be healthier. This panels theme is very valid because being outdoors lifts your mood and helps you feel more grounded. Each panelists points were about stories they researched or experienced about healing in nature. One is about an arctic guide, one was a woman who studied Japanese nature therapies, and one lady who liked San Fransisco a lot. This was a very positive panel, that laid out examples of how nature can positively effect help.
This was a very good panel and I would highly recommend it. It gives a unique perspective on the whole nature heals thing.

Panel Two: Origin Stories

The main theme of this panel is about trying to get people to emotionally connect with the idea of climate change since it is a big issue. The experimental theater used lights, and climate change data to play to music and animations to. This was a very interesting panel because it was an interesting concept for a film/light show to try to accomplish. It allowed him to make me feel like we are all human therefore we can all make a difference in climate change.
I would only recommend this panel for people who like art only because it was pretty out there in terms of ideas.

Panel Three: Nuclear Triad

The main theme of this panel was about what the function of the nuclear triad actually is. One of the panelists was Robert Kaufman who was the nuclear strategist for Nixon went over the dangers of an outdated nuclear fleet, as well as what nuclear weapons we actually have. The other two panelists were on the liberal spectrum. One of the male panelists was super aggressive and was inconsiderate to Mr. Kaufman, while the female liberal panelist was able to agree with Kaufman on most points. I was expecting this panel to be a super aggressive debate, but Kaufman was able to present his views and facts in a very balanced manner.
I would highly recommend this panel, it was balanced and fair which allowed me to learn a lot.
